Symptom: How to enable and disable recovery mode on QM15.2E LA
Problem area: 2K15 EU Android
Affected chassis: QM15.2E LA
Affected CTN: Refer to Appendix
Service action: Fix on failure
Cure:
Note: For SW version QM152E_000.005.210.000 or higher, the recovery mode has been disabled. In order to enable the recovery mode, please follow the steps below.
Attached .EED file is needed for enabling the recovery mode.
1. 0x1185_A0.eed -> to enable recovery mode
Steps to enable recovery mode
1) Rename the 0x1185_A0.eed file as NVM.EED
2) Copy the NVM.EED file in the root of a USB thumb drive (Pls use FAT32 formatted drive)
3) Plug the USB thumb drive to the USB 2.0 port (DO NOT use USB 3.0 port for SW upgrade)
4) AC Off/On, it would automatically update this NVM value
5) Remove the USB drive. AC Off/On, the set will function normally.
Thereafter, the following SCC112153 and CCB TPV152 can be activated.
SCC “SC_TPV0xx_QM152E TV is rebooting SCC_112153” can be activated.
CCB “TPV152_ Android System Recovery is started up when the TV is switched ON” can be activated.
Upon recovery of failure symptom, please proceed to disable the recovery mode before set/SSB is returned to consumer.
